Your mission

  • Administration, maintenance and optimization of the IT infrastructure with a focus on network security and system stability, particularly within a production environment.
  • Operation and continuous development of server and network systems, including firewalls and endpoint security solutions, to ensure a consistently secure IT environment.
  • Monitoring and further development of the network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/VPN), including segmentation, access controls and performance optimization.
  • Analysis, identification and resolution of security-related vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
  • Implementation and maintenance of technical security measures such as patch management, endpoint security, encryption technologies and backup strategies.
  • Use of logging, monitoring and SIEM tools to detect and evaluate security-critical events.
  • Support in the implementation of new IT projects and technologies with a strong focus on security requirements and network architecture.
  • Documentation of IT and security processes as well as creation of policies and guides for users and IT colleagues.

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training or degree in Computer Science, IT Security or a comparable field.
  • At least three years of professional experience in IT system administration with a focus on networking and IT security.
  • Solid expertise in server and network technologies as well as network security (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPN).
  • Experience with encryption technologies, security concepts and security monitoring tools.
  • Experience working with Windows and Linux environments as well as virtualization solutions (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Independent, structured and security-conscious way of working combined with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Very good English communication skills, both written and spoken (C1/C2 level). German language skills are considered an advantage but are not essential for this role.
