- Organize the Materials Department to complete material preparation and material-area planning in line with production plans.
- Oversee material kitting, issuing and line-side delivery management.
- Supervise the supply of materials to production lines to prevent wrong-part, mixed-part and missing-part incidents and ensure compliance with batch traceability requirements in automotive manufacturing.
- Resolve material-related issues, including non-conforming incoming materials, material shortages and incorrectly issued materials.
- Coordinate with the Quality and Procurement departments to define appropriate measures for handling material-related issues.
- Take responsibility for daily line-side warehouse management, including area-layout planning, 5S implementation, material labelling and batch management.
- Organize regular stocktaking, analyse the root causes of inventory discrepancies and drive appropriate improvement measures.
- Monitor slow-moving materials, evaluate losses related to work orders and implement material-scrapping processes to reduce inventory levels.
- Oversee work-order management and inventory accounting and ensure that work orders are closed accurately and on time.
- Ensure that all activities comply with German labour law, occupational health and safety regulations and the factory’s environmental management standards.

Your profile
- Completed vocational training supplemented by relevant further professional qualifications or a bachelor’s degree in logistics management, industrial engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable field.
- At least three to five years of professional experience in materials management, warehousing or on-site logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Good understanding of the automotive manufacturing industry and vehicle or component production processes.
- Familiarity with the IATF 16949 quality management system.
- Practical experience with factory ERP systems. SAP experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of material inbound and outbound processes, stocktaking, bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering change notice (ECN) management.
- Excellent planning and problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to unexpected operational situations.
- Experience leading multicultural teams, combined with strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.
- Rigorous, composed and highly responsible working style, with the ability to perform effectively under the pressures of managing workshop operations.
- Fluent English skills, sufficient for daily work, meeting coordination and customer reporting.
- German skills at B2 level or higher are preferred.
